Navigating Into the Unknown

A few weeks ago I started learning a new route. I found my way to and from a place I had never been. Instead of driving out of my gate, turning left and then taking another left, I began to go straight down after the first left turn. The sun was high in the sky by the time Jasmine regained consciousness. She sat up slowly squinting while she rubbed the sand grains off her face and forearms.
